Schedule a consultation.

If breastfeeding hasn’t gone the way you expected, whether it’s pain, latch issues, or just uncertainty, you don’t have to wait it out. Getting support soon can make all the difference.

This visit is for you if:

  • Breastfeeding feels painful, stressful, or harder than you expected

  • Your baby is having trouble latching or feeding well

  • You're worried your baby isn't getting enough milk

  • Something just doesn't feel quite right, and you want guidance and reassurance

What your visit includes

One-on-one care, in your home, with a Registered Nurse and IBCLC — the highest credential in lactation care. We spend 90 minutes getting the full picture, not only watching one feed, so your plan is built around you and your baby. But you're not on your own once we leave, we also give you access to your lactation consultant through our portal for when questions pop up.

$250 (in-home) $200 (in-office) investment. HSA/FSA eligible. Superbill provided for insurance reimbursement requests.

I tell people all the time that without them, I would have given up. I’m incredibly thankful for Birmingham Breastfeeding and what they’ve meant to me and my family.

If you don’t see a time that works, reach out and we’ll do our best to fit you in.

Not sure if you need a visit?

If something feels off, you don’t have to keep guessing. Feeding challenges don’t always improve on their own, but they can improve quickly with the right support.

Why support early makes the biggest difference

So many moms just wait. They figure it'll click eventually, or that this is just what breastfeeding feels like. Sometimes it does get easier on its own… but often, small problems like a shallow latch, a slow start to your supply, or a missed tongue-tie quietly turn into bigger ones the longer they go unaddressed. The earlier we step into this with you, the more options we have, and the better your chances of reaching a feeding relationship that actually feels good for both of you.

You don't have to wait until it feels "bad enough" to ask for help. If something feels off, that's reason enough.
